About Us
Our President
Larry Flick, founder and president of The Floor Store, comes from a family with deep roots in the flooring industry. He is the third of four kids who grew up in and around Dalton, Georgia, the heart of carpet country. His father, Robert Flick, owned RJ Flick Associates for more than 50 years. Throughout the textile industry, his name is never mentioned without admiration – and often something more like awe.

The Floor Store
The Floor Store opened its first location in Richmond in April 1986. In the early years, Larry and his wife Kelly ran the business hands-on as it grew from a single store into a trusted regional brand. Today, their son Dakota has joined the company, continuing the family legacy. The Floor Store has expanded to ten locations across the Greater Bay Area, from Santa Rosa to San Jose.
